Two beers short of a six pack No souls she’s not looking back And she found her faith in the In her sweet melody No friends or foes to find She didn’t seem to mind Just as long as she could be In her sweet Melody Who says she needs to pray Adjust her light To find her way And who says she needs to be Her higher selfs eternity Yeah Two stars short of a full night He stared at the city lights And he founds faith in the In his sweet melody He knows how love should be And he waits so patiently And he knows he’ll be alright As he steps into the night Who says he needs to pray Adjust his light to find his way And who says he needs to be His higher selfs eternity Yeah I think that I can go right now On this road you don’t forget just how I think that I can take my bow On this road you don’t forget just how

about

Fektion Fekler returned in mid 2018 with this five song e.p 'Strings, Stutters & Static" after a lengthy 11 year absence. Comprised of half the group, Robert who composed a majority of Fektion Fekler's music. And recorded and engineered it as well! For long time fans it's no surprise this would still be released under the Fektion Fekler moniker. It's melody and sincerity still come across strong even in an acoustic setting. A testament to the eclectic ambitions of the composer.

"This release is very special for me. I play all the instruments except on “Let’s Not Be Them”, bass provided by James Vick and the e.p.was mastered by Dwayne Dassing. I did it myself just to see if I could record live instrument’s as opposed to sequencing all the tracks. I’m very proud of it.

Fan Review:
Strings, Stutters, and Static is the new album from Fektion Fekler. This new addition to the FF discography is the first album minus John Bustamante aka the "Womb Dabbler." Instead the sights and sounds that this musical journey will take you on are all from the mind of Robert Bustamante. Unlike previous FF albums this one steps away somewhat from the electronic sound that it once was and delves into a much rawer acoustic sound. Though you will find some synthesizer sound throughout the album, it steps away from the melodic dance music from the bands earlier days. Here is a quick run down of the tracks.

“Let’s Not Be Them” will speak to the hearts of many due to the deep emotional impact that is spoken in the lyrics. It reminds us that it is okay to be different because being unique is what makes you you.

“You’ll Do” for example is a song written about Robert and his wife Lori and their marriage. I won’t go to much into the song as you will want to hear it for yourself the emotions that Robert put into not only the words but also into the music that supported them.

“Don’t Go” is a hauntingly remorse track which will break the hearts of anyone who is currently near the breaking point of a relationship.

“Two Beers Short of a Six Pack” will put you in the mind of a modernization of the 80s era songs; like those from Bryan Adams and John Mellencamp.

Finally, my favorite song on the album is:
“Forming”. Forming is a song that speaks so much love in the subtleties of its lyrics. It’s a song that speaks to the growth and hope of seeing someone grow beyond who they are and into achieving all of their dreams. The emotion of the song is Reminiscent of a parent speaking to a child when they are about to go out into the world on their own.

Though this album is not your typical Fektion Fekler album it shows an evolution to a new sound all its own while still playing an homage to musical styling throughout the decades. A must have for your musical collection.
